🌟 The Story

🌳 A Hardworking Man

Once upon a time, in a small village in India, there lived a poor woodcutter named Raju.

He worked very hard every day to earn money.

He would go to the forest, cut wood, and sell it in the market.

Even though he was poor, Raju was very honest.

💧 The Lost Axe

One day, Raju was cutting a tree near a river.

Suddenly, his axe slipped from his hand and fell into the water.

“Oh no!” Raju cried.
“My axe! How will I work now?”

He sat near the river and started to worry.

✨ A Magical Visitor

Suddenly, a shining figure appeared from the river.

It was a river god.

“Why are you so sad?” the god asked kindly.

Raju told him the truth about his lost axe.

🪓 A Test of Honesty

The river god went into the water and came back with a golden axe.

“Is this your axe?” he asked.

Raju shook his head.
“No, sir. That is not mine.”

Then the god brought a silver axe.

“Is this yours?”

Again, Raju said,
“No, my axe is simple and made of iron.”
