🌙 The Story: The Owl Babies
🌳 A Cozy Nest in the Forest
High up in a tall tree, deep inside a quiet forest, there lived three owl babies named Sarah, Percy, and Bill.
They lived in a warm nest made of twigs and soft feathers. Every night, their mother flew out to find food while they slept safely together.
One evening, the three owl babies woke up.
Their mother was gone.
😟 “Where Is Mommy?”
Sarah, the biggest owl baby, said,
“Maybe she went hunting.”
Percy, who liked to think a lot, said,
“She will come back soon.”
But little Bill, who was the smallest, simply said,
“I want my mommy!”
The dark forest felt bigger.
The wind rustled the leaves.
Shadows moved around them.
The owl babies huddled close together.
🌌 Waiting in the Moonlight
The moon shone softly through the branches.
The babies tried to be brave.
Sarah said, “She always comes back.”
Percy nodded. “Owls always return to their nests.”
But Bill whispered again,
“I want my mommy.”
They waited…
and waited…
and waited…
The night felt long.
🦉 A Familiar Flap of Wings
Suddenly—
FLAP! FLAP! FLAP!
A shadow swooped toward the nest.
“It’s her!” cried Sarah.
Mother Owl landed gently beside them, carrying food in her beak.
“My babies,” she hooted softly.
The owl babies bounced with joy.
“I knew she’d come back!” said Sarah.
“We were brave,” said Percy.
But Bill cuddled close and said,
“I knew my mommy would come.”
Mother Owl wrapped her wings around them, and the forest didn’t feel scary anymore.
The babies felt warm, safe, and loved.
And soon, they all fell asleep together under the shining moon.
