The Dragon’s Attack
One day, a fierce dragon attacked the kingdom. It burned down the castle, destroyed all of Elizabeth’s belongings, and, worst of all, carried Prince Ronald away! Left with nothing but a paper bag to wear, Elizabeth decided she wouldn’t let despair hold her back. She was determined to save Ronald.
The Princess’s Clever Plan
Wearing her paper bag, Elizabeth set off to find the dragon. After a long and tiring journey, she found the dragon resting outside his cave.
“Oh great dragon,” Elizabeth called out. “You’re the most powerful and fearsome dragon I’ve ever seen. Can you show me how far you can fly?”
Pleased by the compliment, the dragon soared high into the sky, flying far and wide. But when he returned, he was a little tired.
“That was amazing! But can you breathe fire and burn all the trees in one go?” Elizabeth asked.
The dragon let out a thunderous roar and burned down a forest in one fiery breath. Exhausted from the effort, the dragon lay down to rest.

Outsmarting the Dragon
Elizabeth, seeing her chance, leaned closer. “You’re so strong, but I bet you’re too tired to do anything else.”
The dragon, too weary to argue, fell asleep. Elizabeth quickly sneaked past him and entered the cave.
Rescuing Prince Ronald
Inside, Elizabeth found Prince Ronald. “I’ve come to rescue you!” she exclaimed.
But instead of being grateful, Ronald looked at her in disgust. “You’re wearing a paper bag! You don’t look like a proper princess. Come back when you’re dressed like one.”
Elizabeth was stunned. She stared at Ronald, realizing that he didn’t care about her bravery or love, only her appearance.

The Princess’s Bold Decision
“Ronald,” Elizabeth said firmly, “I may not look like a proper princess, but I just outsmarted a dragon to save you. If you can’t see my worth beyond appearances, then you’re not worth my time.”
With that, Elizabeth walked away, leaving Ronald behind. She returned to her kingdom with her head held high, proud of her courage and wisdom.
Moral of the Story
“True strength comes from within, and self-worth is more important than the opinions of others. Be brave, be clever, and value yourself for who you are.”
